I have used other folding phones before and always felt like it was good but not perfect. I find myself using the phone more now then my previous device. The Fold 8 is so light and compact when folded. It's not bulky in pockets like earlier versions. The screen is beautiful too. Everything I have watched looks amazing. I would definitely recommend this phone to everyone.

I chose to be part of the z series family starting with the fold 2. I have always been...ok....with it's tall form factor but secretly admired the shape of the pixel fold. When they announced the fold 8....I knew I had to choose this one. Folds are .ore than just an option, they are a multitask necessity. I have chosen to continue being a good user and I do not think I will go back. Great job samsung! Proud to be a galaxy fan since the s2 and Samsung user since the blackjack 2.

I have only one complaint, and it's that the cameras could be better. other than that, this phone is literally perfect! I traded in my z fold 7 for this new shaped z fold 8 and have zero regrets!

Prior to this smaller 8..the 6 was my favorite.. but I think I have finally found a keeper! I am not interested in the tri fold..and just wanted something with a bit more real estate than a standard phone. This fold is the one! With it's wider aspect ratio, I find multitasking better, even more so than the ZFold8 Ultra, and all around better experience than any other phone device (and I've had plenty over the years). The size and hand feel, as well as the pocket feel, is perfect (chef's kiss), everything one could actually want in a mobile device. Easily the best folding phone available to date. Bravo.

Give me a big phone that opens beautifully, but with a slim narrow keyboard.... Finally, I have my Goldilocks device. Ive had iphones and pixels. My only complaint with my previous fold 5 was that it was difficult texting with such a small keyboard the phone needed to be opened to even use. Since ive been using the fold 8 i havent opened it more than 5 times and mostly for videos which are huge. Im surprised the wider fold 8 isnt the ultra its better in my opinion.

Still comfortable to hold when open, but I can go all day not opening it if need be. I absolutely love it. Fits in my scrub pocket at work and a small purse while out. It's typical samsung so I still get all the UI functionality I love.

Also, I wish this phone had the sonic fingerprint sensor like the other newer galaxy lineups. Battery is mid tier, once the new ones get the silicone battery I'm sure it will be better. Overall I'm happy with my purchase and can't wait for the newer models. One more thing, the hinge is not as transparent as before but it's still noticeable which compared to the new oppo products, this fails in comparison.

I'll hold it horizontally for YouTube and when I want to scroll apps like Instagram turning the phone 90 degrees makes it a breeze Another thing I'm appreciating is the shape of the phone when it's folded. The shorter and wider form factor makes it so much easier to navigate and utilize apps with the cover screen. I don't feel like I need to unfold my phone every time just to send a text message.

Previously had the s24 ultra and still love that phone as well. But it was super top heavy and couldn't fit in purses etc. Folded out I love using the multiple apps. I keep forgetting the crease at all. Only downside is while charging and running apps it tends to get really hot. But maybe that's a sign for me for less screentime.

I've owned every Galaxy Fold since the Fold 4, and I remember unboxing that first one. It was a beast of a phone, honestly closer to a paperback than something pocket-friendly. The first thing I did when I opened the box wasn't turn it on, it was just hold it. Closed, it's so slim I kept checking if I'd grabbed the wrong phone. It genuinely feels like carrying a small notepad instead of a folding computer. That's the upgrade I've been waiting for since the Fold 4. Open it up and it becomes a full canvas, perfect for the moments that actually need the extra screen, without feeling like I'm carrying a tablet around all day. What impresses me most isn't one single spec, it's how unnoticeable the compromises have become. The early Folds made you feel that trade-off between phone and tablet. This one doesn't. It just feels like the right size, all the time. Four generations in, this is the first Fold that's made me stop thinking about the fold and just enjoy the phone.

Being able to enjoy media with proper scaling was a big factor, so despite the Fold 8 being smaller than previous Folds, you get more out of the inner screen when viewing videos due to the aspect ratio. The phone is feels light but durable.
