I chose to upgrade from my Z Fold 5, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I thought that the Fold 5 was the best phone I had ever owned, but the Fold 8 quickly surpassed it. So easy to set up and transfer from my old phone. The folded size is brilliant, providing a smaller (but still spacious) area, but I still have the option to unfold the phone and utilize the HUGE landscape display. So much easier to use apps side-by-side. This phone really has it all. Absolutely thrilled with my purchase.

                [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been really impressed with the Galaxy Z Fold8. The biggest improvement for me is its compact and lighter design. When folded, it feels much more comfortable to hold and fits easily in my pocket, making it practical for everyday use. It still opens into a large display when I need it for multitasking, videos, or reading, so I get the best of both worlds. Samsung did a great job making the Fold8 feel like a normal phone without sacrificing the benefits of a foldable. Definitely my favorite Fold so far.

I have used other folding phones before and always felt like it was good but not perfect. I find myself using the phone more now then my previous device. The Fold 8 is so light and compact when folded. It's not bulky in pockets like earlier versions. The screen is beautiful too. Everything I have watched looks amazing. I would definitely recommend this phone to everyone.

My birthday is tomorrow and after unboxing, I cannot think of a better birthday present. I chose to be part of the z series family starting with the fold 2. I have always been...ok....with it's tall form factor but secretly admired the shape of the pixel fold. When they announced the fold 8....I knew I had to choose this one. Folds are .ore than just an option, they are a multitask necessity. I have chosen to continue being a good user and I do not think I will go back. Great job samsung! Proud to be a galaxy fan since the s2 and Samsung user since the blackjack 2.

Prior to this smaller 8..the 6 was my favorite.. but I think I have finally found a keeper! With it's wider aspect ratio, I find multitasking better, even more so than the ZFold8 Ultra, and all around better experience than any other phone device (and I've had plenty over the years). The size and hand feel, as well as the pocket feel, is perfect (chef's kiss), everything one could actually want in a mobile device. Easily the best folding phone available to date. Bravo.

Ive had iphones and pixels. My only complaint with my previous fold 5 was that it was difficult texting with such a small keyboard the phone needed to be opened to even use. Since ive been using the fold 8 i havent opened it more than 5 times and mostly for videos which are huge. Im surprised the wider fold 8 isnt the ultra its better in my opinion.

Still comfortable to hold when open, but I can go all day not opening it if need be. I absolutely love it. Fits in my scrub pocket at work and a small purse while out. It's typical samsung so I still get all the UI functionality I love.

Also, I wish this phone had the sonic fingerprint sensor like the other newer galaxy lineups. Battery is mid tier, once the new ones get the silicone battery I'm sure it will be better. Overall I'm happy with my purchase and can't wait for the newer models. One more thing, the hinge is not as transparent as before but it's still noticeable which compared to the new oppo products, this fails in comparison.

Previously had the s24 ultra and still love that phone as well. But it was super top heavy and couldn't fit in purses etc. Folded out I love using the multiple apps. I keep forgetting the crease at all. Only downside is while charging and running apps it tends to get really hot. But maybe that's a sign for me for less screentime.

I've owned every Galaxy Fold since the Fold 4, and I remember unboxing that first one. It was a beast of a phone, honestly closer to a paperback than something pocket-friendly. The first thing I did when I opened the box wasn't turn it on, it was just hold it. Closed, it's so slim I kept checking if I'd grabbed the wrong phone. It genuinely feels like carrying a small notepad instead of a folding computer. That's the upgrade I've been waiting for since the Fold 4. Open it up and it becomes a full canvas, perfect for the moments that actually need the extra screen, without feeling like I'm carrying a tablet around all day. What impresses me most isn't one single spec, it's how unnoticeable the compromises have become. The early Folds made you feel that trade-off between phone and tablet. This one doesn't. It just feels like the right size, all the time. Four generations in, this is the first Fold that's made me stop thinking about the fold and just enjoy the phone.

Being able to enjoy media with proper scaling was a big factor, so despite the Fold 8 being smaller than previous Folds, you get more out of the inner screen when viewing videos due to the aspect ratio. The phone is feels light but durable.

The shorter and wider screen allows more comfortability in using phone closed as well as open. The internal crease and crisp snap of closing is impressive. I have had many versions of the Z series and this is by far the best! I cannot wait to use it to watch media while I travel for work. All my work applications are at my fingertips and seamlessly work open and closed. I cannot wait to put this through the paces! Also looking forward to exploring the AI features as well! I use this for work, personal day to day tasks, etc. I love the white/bone color. PLEASE KEEP THIS FORM FACTOR!!! The brightness and reduced glare are very impressive. I have been tracking this since rumors leaked at end of 2025. So happy it is finally here!!

Samsung and app developers properly need to optimize one UI in popular it just feels like the user experience is incomplete I regularly experience flaws with software alignment out of the box you know with the visual optimization.

The large inner screen has completely changed how I use my phone. I can review emails, open documents, compare information side by side, and multitask much more comfortably than on a traditional smartphone. When I am traveling or spending time with my family, I use it for photos, videos, navigation, streaming, and games. The cover screen is convenient for quick tasks, while unfolding it feels like having a small tablet in my pocket. I especially enjoy using multiple apps at once without constantly switching between them. The design feels premium, the performance is fast, and the folding experience makes everyday tasks more enjoyable. I will say this was an immediate and very noticeable improvement and I actually prefer the wider format for my use case as a fun portable phone with a big screen experience, the lack of telephoto camera doesn't bother me too much since I prefer to carry my actual camera if I plan to get true higher end quality that only a true camera like a mirrorless could provide anyway. Time will tell so far if battery has made a noticeable improvement.

                [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First the device felt smaller coming from a Ultra 20 series device, which I have used for the past 5 years. Some things I would like improved. Note mentioned in any reviews is the change for biometrics from screen to side button. It sometimes hard to locate this button and i find myself touching the top panel delaying unlock. Like previous Ultra there is no screen resolution options, ar least that I can find. I have a very organized app / icon approach which works with a single screen, size. When I repeat this organization on Fold 8, which I imagine would be same for any fold device. The icons are all to the left side and i have lot of empty space to right. I suppose I could move to a multiple page app management but that then would require multiple swipes to get to an app. I would like to see an option to manage 'full screen' view vs folded. There is option for seperate wallpaper between. I also neeed to adjust my font size so overall minor adjustments and more adjusting to new form factor. I like the weight, pocket size. From years of using a large smartphone, it feels refreshing to have a brick in my pocket. I look forward to the coming days & weeks using the Fold 8 in my day to day tasks.

I like it small and big as the same time. Smoothly fold and barely see the fold line. I always have trouble with the zflip's screen, they always peel out by itself. The screen is easy damage when I hold the key with it on busy hand. It destroys the pixels. Hopefully this one will go smoothly. It does very good so far

The shorter front screen in a passport style coupled with the large mini tablet inner screen is honestly amazing. The front screen is comfortable in the hand, but can still display media very well. When the phone is closed it is like a slightly wider and shorter s26 ultra. When the phone is open is reminds me of the nexus 7: very comfortable in the hand while providing that mini tablet experience. The cameras, speed, thickness, aspect ratio, screens, battery, and weight are definitely upgrades. However, coming from the Z Fold 6, I do miss the S Pen and its features, and I would love for a future version to have S Pen support on both screens. The lack of flex mode is a slight annoyance but not a deal breaker, especially since the phone opens up much easier. The lack of s26 ultra level cameras are also an annoyance, especially for the price. The speaker placement is bad for this phone when opened, since the sound is only on the left side when opened in landscape mode. My last negative is the inside screen camera hole, since it does block content, especially compared ro the z fold 6. With that being said, it is still the best z fole so far. The ultra has the better specs, but this phone is very versatile going from a short phone to a mini tablet.

                [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the ZFOLD8 mainly because of the smaller form factor. My case arrived a day before the device and I looked at it and thought it might be to small but I bought one it so let's see how this goes.... I should mention that this is my 4th Zfold device. Upon arrival I was really surprised at the feel closed and loved that I could reach the entire screen one handed and not feel like I was going to drop it due to a case I purchased with a strap on the back which is a must have for a foldable device! Upon opening the screen It felt very balanced and comfortable although the key board felt like I was reaching further due to the extra width when it is open to get tothe middle keys so I went to a split keyboard as I use on my tablets, you get used to it pretty quickly. In the open position apps feel very functional and not difficult to use mostly... A couple apps are weird in landscape mode because they were not designed to be used in landscape but as with any new device they will confirm as people comment about it As for video it's nice to not see all of the wasted screen at the top and bottom. Open screen doesn't play well with portrait video unless you change to portrait orientation but then its better than ever. Thank God for the strap on the back again... I love how this device fits in my pocket and I buy pants that have a designated pocket for my phone it isn't hanging out. Now when I see a huge ultra sized phone in someone's hand I think... What a waste! Love this device!

                [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very satisfied with the Fold 7. I told anyone who asked that the Zfold 7 was the best phone I've ever experienced. I wasn't sure if I would like the shorter wider versions of the folding phones but the Z FOLD 8 will be my daily driver for the unforseeable future. As long as there are no technical issues I don't see how Samsung could make this phone any better. Maybe some tractable translucent tube thingy? The Z FOLD 8 has blown away this tech enthusiast for sure. BRAVO!!!

                [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Coming from the Fold 5, I chose to go with the Fold 8. Preferring the shorter but wider screen. It is more balanced in my hand and makes it easier to use overall. I discovered that in comparison to my previous phone, when opened they are both roughly the same size, but they fold in an opposite direction. The only disappointment came with camera not having the same upgrades as the Ultra. I use my phone for work daily and log in to other computers at my offices. Being able to open up the screen to this wide view is very helpful.
