The screens really surprised me as how much of an improvement they are to my 4 year older device. A huge step up in brightness. Lastly battery life has been a great surprise, no noticeable drain over night and fast charging. I'm very happy I chose to upgrade and step into the world of foldable. I think there might be no return to single screen devices.

Super thin but great battery life. I chose not to upgrade to the Fold 7, but this was a definite upgrade from the 6. AI baked right into all of the apps. 90% of them will be useful in my day to day operations. 7 years of guaranteed updates too, but I know I won't have this phone that long. Overall, great phone and great experience ordering and customizing it. I chose Samsung a long time ago (think Note 2!).I drifted away to other phones, but always found my way back to Samsung.

It is the most excited I have been about a new phone since I purchased the Note 4. I tried a Z Fold several years ago and returned it after 1 day. The only thing I miss is an S pen. I have had a phone with the S pen for over a decade and that nearly kept me from this Z Fold. I still wish it had one, but other features made this phone totally worth the time.

It feels incredibly solid despite how insanely thin it is. I was initially afraid of the phone being fragile, but after using it, I'm not sure I even need to use a case.

The new, larger battery and newer, faster CPU makes it all worthwhile. I also love the faster wired and wireless charging speeds. I've only had the phone for 1 day but I can already tell the speed and endurance are better than the Fold 7. The inner display looks better and to be honest I completely forgot about the crease when I opened it up to watch videos. I haven't experienced anything new from the upgrade to Android 17 yet but that's not necessarily a bad thing as I may be using the features without realizing it because Samsung makes it so seamless. I did take some pictures but I haven't taken enough to really see a difference though I am excited about the 50 Mp wide angle lens. All in all I'm very happy I upgraded and can't wait to use all the new features.

The size is enough different it is so much easier to hold with it being wider even though not a huge difference in width. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and it's easily the most productive phone I've owned. The larger inner display is the standout feature—it gives you so much more room to work without having to pull out a laptop or tablet. Reading and responding to work emails is much more comfortable on the big screen, especially when reviewing long email threads or attachments. The larger display also makes typing much easier and more accurate because the on-screen keyboard feels less cramped than on a traditional smartphone. Writing longer emails or messages is noticeably more comfortable. Microsoft Teams is also excellent on the Fold. Taking Teams calls while referencing notes, emails, or documents at the same time is incredibly convenient thanks to the multitasking capabilities. Performance has been fast and smooth, and the large display makes web browsing, reading PDFs, and editing documents much easier than on a standard smartphone. That said, the Fold isn't perfect. The front cover screen can feel a bit cramped, especially when typing or using apps for extended periods. App optimization is also still inconsistent. For example, Facebook sometimes has elements that get cut off, and some apps don't scale properly on the inner display. Instead of taking advantage of the larger screen, they occasionally appear stretched or use an awkward aspect ratio, which takes away from the otherwise premium experience. Overall, it has been a great experience so far.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used Fold phones since the Z Fold 3. Comparing the t I now, one can see the evolution of the Z Fold Series. All the hype was on the Z Fold 8. I chose the Z Fold 8 Ultra for the better cameras, and thinner profile when folded. Having small hands, it is a lot easier to hold and better - for me - for one-handed use. Although both Z Fold 8 models can do multiple windows, the ultra allows for more info to be shown. I was tempted by the Fold 8's ability to show 3 windows side-by-side, but the Ultra won my purchase for the reasons explained above. What I am impressed with is the larger battery - 5,000 mHA - same as the S series Ultras. I am love the slow discharge of the battery. It appears to do better than my S26 Ultra which I am trading in. I am eager to see how it performs now that my Fold is mostly setup. The upgraded CPU is great - graphics are quick and snappy on both the cover and main screen. And, I am finding the screen colors to be more in depth when compared to my S26. I was both shocked and impressed. I have had a wish list of potential upgrades with each Fold phone I have had. This list has grown smaller with each release. For the Fold 8 Ultra - I would have liked the privacy screen on the main screen akin to what is on the S26 Ultra. Overall, I am pleased with this upgrade and look forward to using the Z fold 8 Ultra.

This phone has allowed me to multi cast and 2 both at the same time. 80% or more of the day is me being on my phone for work when I'm away from the desk. The battery last all day and the quality and brightness of the screen allows for me to do everything I can do on a computer to now do it on the phone. Outside of work I play racing games and gotcha games with the large screen size and the response time are on par with playing on a pc. This phone allows for me to control my house ecosystem.
