[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After upgrading from a Flip to a Fold to last year the Samsung Galaxy Z flip8 is a much welcomed return to functional flip phones - no gimmicks. The full back display and cameras being on the same surface allows for photography moments that no other smartphone series does. The Z Flip8 feels lighter and yet more durable than it's predecessors and after double checking right now... The main screen 'crease' is nowhere to be seen. The only place where the phone feels lacking is it's battery performance. It's not bad by any means but is also nothing to write home about and will need a charge before the day is up as well as overnight. Genuinely a fun and functional flip phone - would recommend!

After two years of my wife and I taking these phones all over the world, we are both huge fans of Flip's. I chose to upgrade to the Z Flip 8 because I appreciate advanced technology and features. The Flip 8 is still at a reasonable price point while offering many advantages even the Fold line doesn't offer. The size and feather light package are everything. This phone does it all, yet fits in spaces so small there just isn't any other device that compares. My favorite feature however, is to be able to plug in a little fan and set it on the table and be cool with my cool Flip phone. My friends are always envious over that trick.

I love flip because it fits in all my small purses and my pocket in my scrubs. I have noticed a much faster processing capacity and smoother opening from beinf closed. I was hesistant to upgrade this time around since I knew there weren't a lot of changes made from Z flip 7 which I most recently had. But I'm glad I chose to upgrade since this one feels better in a lot of ways: processing speed, weight, screen folding etc. I'm excited to explore more of this phone and get more out of it. I try the new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8, and it’s the best flip phone I’ve ever seen. Samsung nailed the design refinements this year; the phone feels remarkably thin and lightweight in hand, and the crease on the inner screen is practically invisible! The performance is fast and responsive, with apps opening quickly and multitasking feeling effortless, and the camera takes sharp, vibrant photos. I also love the improved cover screen, which allows more apps to be accessed on the cover screen to check notifications and use essential features without unfolding the phone.

The lock screen should be the home page like it was on a Z flip 7 the good lockk app should have its own card or the app card should hold more, be full card itself. I haven only had the Z flip 8 for a few days now still looking at everything that has to offer but I have noticed that a lot of things have become much better

The Z Flip5 was the first one I owned, and I hadn't upgraded until now. This new model is much thinner and a little wider. It's an obvious improvement over three generations, so it feels great and is noticeably faster. The battery lasts much longer, which is very important to me because I use my phone for work. The camera is also an improvement, although I wish it were as good as the Galaxy Note's. Still, the compact size is what matters most to me. I can't give a complete review of the phone yet because I just started using it, but it's definitely a huge improvement over my last one.

I switched to the Flip 6 upon its launch, and I just received a new Flip 8. As someone who loves to stream videos and music, I appreciate the improved screen quality on the Flip 8 with no visible screen crease on the interior screen due to the titanium upgrade. The slightly larger overall size is a better fit for my hand while still compact enough to fit comfortably and securely in my pockets. I am using Gemini vs. Google assistant and it's a game changer for instant access to facts, information and tasking. Overall I am quite pleased with the Galaxy Flip 8 and if it's to be, future Galaxy Flip phones

As always folding the phone means it fits in my pocket without falling out. I mostly use it for texting, calls, photos, health tracking, news feeds and YouTube.

The compact size when folded is very practical for me. The Flip 8 is a great extension to this line. I use it for calls and text and music and the cover screen handles this easily along with most functions I need. Home automations and routines are handled easily without even opening my phone. Phone feels solid in operation and operating system is flawless. Again I wish to emphasize the compactness while have the use of a full size top tier smartphone for ALL of my needs.

It is extremely handy for handbag or pocket. Both displays are plenty large enough for me and the fact you can do a lot without even opening the phone is great. The hinge appears durable whilst it appears a little easier to open compared to the Flip 7. The Flip 8 is responsive and fast, I have not noticed any delay in operation. I love, love the pink colour. It is annoying the pink case was not available to order when I pre-ordered the phone, which meant I had to buy the plastic case as a stop-gap until the pink arrives in stock... I just had an email saying it is now in stock, but delivery will be September? IIRC There was the same issue last year with the blue case (Samsung please note, get the cases ready for release or pre-order when the phones are). Anyway, as always I am very happy with all aspects of the Flip 8 as I have been with all Flips.

I owned a z flip 7 before, and although the new phone mainly has quality of life improvements over the old phone, it feels like a nice upgrade. More can be done on the cover screen now, and the screen looks slightly sharper. The phone can also get brighter than the previous gen. I think these upgrades were worth it, but if you are tight on money and have the z flip 7, I would wait for the next one to come out before upgrading.

I was so happy with the first model I had, but was ready for an upgrade, there was "Z"ero hesitation when I chose my next phone. The Z Flip 8 looked great on paper, but when I received it, it exceeded all expectations. The phone was so much thinner than expected, the outside screen was HUGE and a massive upgrade from my old model. Also the color was better than I expected. So happy for this new phone, have already been showing all my friends and they all love it just as much as I do!

Once it came is, I was suprised how thin, sleek and clean the design was for the Z Flip 8. Only downside is the wait time for transfering data, but this wasn't the case. Took ubder 30 kinutes to get all info transfered from my S25 Ultra to the Z Flip 8. The camera is nice, amazing display. I actually prefer the FHD+ display this phone has. Less strain on my eyes. I love how you can access certain apps like Spotify when folded. Feels like an advanced MP3 player. If you decide on this phone, you won't regret it. Z Flip 8, Z Fold 8 and the Z Fold Ultra all have their own thing. Either or, you will not be disappointed. Get it!

I love the design choices; the phone is perfectly usable in both folded and open configurations. I love being able to physically close my phone and disengage; it's a small barrier that contributes a lot to my phone use goals. Transferring my old phone data was seamless, and the switch was easy. I'm looking forward to using this a long time.

If the price would have been more closely i would have gone with the regular Fold. Since this might be the last flip though i am happy i got it and the tall aspect is better to keep in one hand versus the book aspect of the fold that requires two hands. Battery the same though. Still a unique phone for people that don't need to be on their phone 24/7

The 8 does have decent updates; however, these updates are more so for convenience rather than needs for increased usability. For me personally, I could've gone without the upgrade to the 8. I only upgraded due to the rumors of this being the last flip so I wanted to make sure I had the latest version if this were to be true. I think if you enjoy the flip 7 and don't need or can't afford the upgrade, then you're good and aren't missing out on much.

I choose the pink because the color reminds me of my coral pink nintendo DS. It's bigger, it's faster, much more AI features, battery last much longer, cover screen much more useful... more smoother with opening/closing, almost no crease in the middle. I'm using this phone, for mainly browsing, social media, little gaming and watching short videos... communication such as text, emails, some sport apps and very little photography (pictures and short videos) I reallylove it so far.

I have noticed very smooth screen to very nice processing. I also noticed less noticeable crease on the screen as well. When I was driving with android auto and listening to Spotify, my flip 5 would get very hot but with the flip8, it was much less. I am very happy with my purchase.

It's cute, it's compact, and I can open and shut it. I also prefer the keyboard and the size of the phone since it is easier for me to type and handle. I almost got the Flip 7 for the gorgeous cobalt blue color (GBA SP nostalgia), but then we I found out they were releasing a pink Flip 8 I had to wait. The color is absolutely stunning and I am beyond happy with it. I also think the screen on this phone is a noticeable improvement from my Ultra 25. All in all I am incredibly happy with my purchase and I am going to stick with the Z line in the future!

Wow, not even sure where to start. All I am gonna say is if you want something practical, simple, yet advanced, LOOK NO FURTHER. The Z Flip 8 is a very nice phone. Amazing display, battery is not so bad whatsoever. No need to worry about the hinges when folding, it folds perfectly. The perfomance is exceptional, better than my S25 Ultra which was my previous phone. Get yourself a case, make it more durable but when getting this phone note that you are gonna need to be extra careful with it, as with any phone. You get used to the folding quickly if this is your first Flip. Might have to get the Z Fold 8 Ultra as well 😆. But yes, durability must be considered. Great for making space in your pocket 😆.

However, after only about an hour I realized that the 8 is faster, has a clearer screen, and has more built in features and upgrades. It feels sturdier than previous models, as well. Smart Switch transferred everything over to the new phone for me seamlessly. The Z Flip 8 fits well in my hand and my pocket. It has the routines I depend on for work. The cover screen apps are taking some getting used to but I really like the new layout and options. It's super convenient for when I want to pay for something quickly but not unfold the phone; I just use Samsung Pay right from the cover. I use this at work, too, especially when there's a client who doesn't speak English. I love that I can set it up and use the instant translation system to communicate with the people who need me. I love this phone. I'm so glad I took the opportunity to trade in for a discount.

I have got the s25 ultra, its absolutely amazing, honestly I was considering the 17pro max, pixel 10 pro xl, and the s25 ultra for over 3 months, and did lots of comparisons, all were good products, but by far the s25 ultra blows everything out of the water, its the king of all phones.
