I chose to go with the Z Fold 8 over the Z Fold 8 Ultra because I wanted to try out the new format. I always felt the front screen was too thin and the interior screen was the wrong aspect ratio. Samsung nailed it on the Z fold 8. Nice width on the front screen, yes it’s a little shorter but so far that has been fine. The inside screen is a perfect size and aspect ratio. To me this is the first device that is a phone to tablet all in one! Oh and it’s amazing how thin they are now too.

I open it mostly to play games or reading. I was planning to buy a kindle now with the fold 8 I don't have to I could read my books here. I love the texting on the out side don't have to open for that. The galaxy fold 8 is not heavy I could put in my pocket without any issues. I bought all the flips from Samsung because they are easy to carry, but this year went with the galaxy fold 8. It has everything I wanted in a phone. Thanks Samsung 😊

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far I love the size of this screen and ability to view multiple pages at the same time. It is great for me because I do a lot of work on their phone. The issue I have is how fast it heats up. I had 2 app running on both screen and in less than 20 mins it gave me over heating message. I did update the software as advised, but still feel that it still heats up pretty fast. I took off the thin Samsung case to let it cool down too. I have not tried opening 2 apps on screen since the update. It feel a little warm even with just one app running but not as bad. I guess I will see if this will be my one and only fold phones.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The new Fold 8 (wide) is a great new phone in regards to the external screen and internal folding screen. My only negative thought is no 200 megapixel main sensor and no telephoto lens, very disappointing on such a high end phone with such a high cost. As you will learn due to the Fold 8's high volume of sales, many people like larger phones but not necessarily folding ones. I suggest Samsung consider making a larger nonfolding phone, similar to the width of the Fold 8's external screen but also taller. Bring back the old Samsung Mega branding or call it the Samsung Titan. Again, their is a large market for larger phones especially in this day and age.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have wanted a Z Fold for years, but I never liked the huge bulky ones. I have waited for the Z-Fold wide patiently for a long time. First new phone I have bought in 8 years. It's perfect. Folded it's like using the old school Blackberry. Unfolded it's like kindle. Then dock it when I get home and it becomes my computer. I no longer need three different device's for school, work, and personal use. For buisness applications like office and Google docs it's preferred in unfolded and Dex. Docked or on the go. For reading my e-books and comics all modes are great. Only thing I am not familiar with is gaming because I don't game on my phone. Media like videos and films is exceptional. The only thing keeping me from having to have a laptop or desktop is CaC card support because for somereason Android doesn't have a work around yet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Z Fold 8 because I am a big fan of the Fold series. However, the phone always seemed really long. So when this version was created, I was super excited because I am a media consumer, and the aspect ratio that you get when you open the phone is truly amazing. I find myself operating on the phone with it closed mostly, and then I'm able to open it for entertainment, which is perfect. It's very lightweight, and I love the faster charging. The only gripe that I have is that the icons rotate and rearrange when you have the phone open and you switch to vertical mode. But other than that, the phone is great.

Not only is the big screen great but transferring all my data from the previous phone to this one was incredibly easy. I had zero issues transferring all my apps, contacts and now from my old phone without having to install any apps. The screen brightness is amazing. Videos on this phone look great with vivid colors. If it's like having 3 phones in one because you can easily have 3 different apps running on your outside screen and your large screen at the same time. I realize the price is steep but it is well worth it. Since it is a phone and a tablet in one device it will save me from having to pack two things instead when I travel. I highly recommended it.

There's not another phone on the market like this one. I love being able to use the phone from the basics of texting or making a call to scrolling and creating documents for work. The amazingly unfolding of the phone without the distraction of a crease leaves me in awe everytime. I switched from the Z Flip 7 to the Z Fold 8 without a single regret! :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My previous phone was the Galaxy Z Fold 7 which I loved, but I chose to try the new passport-like form factor with with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and so far I am loving it. It is a bit smaller in total screen size but the new form instantly clicked for my normal phone use, which is primarily video watching and some light mobile gaming. Also with the 7 I found myself immediately rotating the device sideways to get the widest screen possible, whereas with the 8 you are already at the widest possible immediately upon unfolding. I appreciate the lighter weight and I'm also finding the cover screen much more usable than the 7 and a better fit in both my front and back pocket. Recommended.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the new Galaxy Z Fold 8 primarily because I needed a smaller phone to fit in my uniform pocket but still had times I needed a larger screen. The Fold 8 does more than fit the bill. I have found that it responds to inputs and requests quickly and the volume is sufficiently loud. I no longer have to worry about the S Pen falling out as it frequently did on my 25 Ultra. I greatly enjoy the folding feature when I am ready either important emails or documents or relaxing with a book from apps. Once it's time to go to work the phone folds down to an easily manageable small size. Overall great job Samsung

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this phone as a replacement to my fold 7 due to the MUCH BETTER form factor which allows you to not have to open the phone so much when using. Because of the wider out screen and the shorter length this phone is perfect as a daily driver. Samsung has been quite stubborn in the long and slimcandy bar style shape foldable which was rendering the outer screen useless as it was too difficult to type on due to the slim form factor. But NOW, the Fold 8 has followed the Pixel fold form factor and voila! It's a powerhouse as the software has always been superb, but now the wider shape allows me to use this without frustration. Kudos to Samsung for finally listening. This phone will dominate the market.

And when I need to review PDFs or work on documents either through MS Office or Google Workspace. I have a nice immersive 7.6 inch inner display to work on. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After years of using the previous z fold series (up to 7), I really wanted a new design on the fold. That is why I chose the z fold 8 for its new (at least to the Samsung lineup) passport shaped fold. I have owned it for a few days only but I am already loving it much more than my previous folds. The front screen is much shorter but is easier to use due to its wider screen. Typing and viewing content is much more enjoyable. Additionally, unfolding it is also much more enjoyable due to its aspect ratio. At least for the apps I use, the content feels like it fills up the screen more than the previous folds. Unfortunately, the camera is a downgrade but it's still good enough for my needs.

Even while doing the transfer between old and new device, the fold8 felt very natural and fold7 quickly felt uncomfortable to use, so I won't go back to using a non-folding phone but also probably going to stick with the passport style as well, it feels amazing. The transfer was easy and quick, the phone arrived 3 days earlier than expected and absolutely love it. Worth the upgrade for sure.

The Fold 8 is finally the perfect blend of performance and pockatqble size. Also Samsung One UI 9.0 is so stable and feature rich, on pair with iOS. It is amazing. I feel that way every time I pick it up, unfold it, fold it...etc. Bizarre to be so enamored with a phone, but it is what it is. Muscle memory made the switch from the Fold 7 a lot harder than I had anticipated. Harder, but worth the transition. I love the form factor. Anyways had the fold 7, beautiful phone, but you'd literally get maybe .5 inch extra to view videos on the big screen. I chose the fat fold 8 this time and am so happy. I've used this phones inside screen more in the last week then I did on the fold 7 in the last 6 months. Some issues I gripe with is it doesn't have flex mode and the camera got bumped down. Also some apps do NOT work well on front screen. However it is still much more usable for me. Also Samsung went so cheap this time. No storage upgrade, complicated bonus discount that literally removed itself from my cart.

I was a little skeptical at first as to how I would feel about it, but after only having it for a day so far, I am already IN LOVE WITH THIS PHONE! The new form factor is perfect for having a nice and compact device when i just need basic functionality and yet still having the larger inner display when i want it. I have larger hands so I can perfectly reach the whole front screen and it's amazingly comfy to hold. So glad I took a chance and tried it out!

I've been waiting for so long for a smaller phone just really tired of the big phones that's why I chose the standard Galaxy fold 8. I haven't tried the cameras yet but I will this coming weekend at a concert so we'll see how that goes but other than that everything else about this phone is amazing.

I recently traded in my Z Fold7 for the new Z Fold8, and the new folding phone is nearly perfect for me. It is smaller, lighter, and easier to use. The large inner screen is just the right size for me. I don't miss the telephoto lens or the S-Pen. I'm not much of a photographer, and back in my Samsung Note days I rarely used the S-Pen

My Galaxy Fold 6 was a great phone but with a case it was bulky and heavy. The Fold 8 is fabulous. It is so light and I love the new size. Its a bit of an adjustment but one I am happy to make. There are a few quirks with the screen (with different apps) that I'm getting used to but I am so glad I chose to go ahead and splurge on this phone. I love the speed and responsiveness. I've only had it a couple days and between kids and work haven't gotten alot of time to try all the features. But that's my plan for the weekend. If you are on the fence, I encourage the purchase. When opened the screen is amazing! Watching Netflix and YouTube on this is seriously impressive. When I want to play games I open it up and now I have a tablet, it really blew my expectations out of the water. I really like that the finger print reader is in the power button it makes more sense to have it there. This phone is way louder than my s26 was. The compact size of this phone when closed should be the new standard, it just feels more natural. I dont see myself ever going back to a candy bar shaped phone ever again.

It is definitely an adjustment, but I am slowly enjoying the size and utilizing the various apps and watching of videos. I suspect the industry will slowly catch up with changing formatting of data on apps to support this size. I notice some oddities with apps, but again, I think those will clear up as the phone is introduced into the population and becomes more used. I am coming from the Z Fold 6, and this phone is a fresh update on that format.

It's wonderfully compact when folded, but unfolding it into a mini tablet completely changes the experience. Videos look fantastic on the inner display, and the anti-reflective screen coating makes a massive difference for visibility. The upgraded faster charging is a welcome quality-of-life improvement, and the cameras are completely sufficient for everyday photos. Most of all, it brought back that genuine sense of excitement for mobile technology that smartphones have lacked for a long time.

Well, the new Z Fold8 has addressed that problem with its more 4:3 aspevt ratio that also allows for a more enjoyable viewing experience with the native landscape orientation. All this and the phone is still thinner and has a larger battery capacity than my previous Z Fold6. Looking forward to putting this phone through its paces to discover if it can stand the test of time. If it all works out, Samsung has a real winner on their hands.

I have been very pleased with each of them, but this time I went with the Fold 8 instead. A smaller package that is as powerful as the Fold Ultra but just smaller. Easier to carry, but lacking only a few things. No hinge to work with to set it up like the Ultra and smaller icons. BUT I'd buy the Fold 8 again!!!

I love the fact that the external screen gives the the smaller form factor I enjoy but pairs it with a great use of folding screen tech to unveil a larger than normal screen inside. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8’s new wider shape finally kills off that awkward narrow front screen, so typing out quick texts actually feels normal. Opening it up gives you a massive, tablet-sized display that makes split-screen apps and watching videos way less cramped. It’s light enough that your wrist won’t hate you after holding it for a few minutes, and the crease in the middle is practically invisible now. You do lose the extra zoom camera lens to keep it this thin, but the trade-off is 100% worth it for a phone that’s actually fun to use every day.

In addition, the half folds (L shape) or tent fold (A Shape), don't seem to work that well. It actually measure up well next to my Fold 3, so I turn it long ways to type better, as the wide screen makes the keyboard too long for me. I also miss the full size of the cover screen. It severely displaced my home screen and spit the icons up weirdly over the other panels. Like the left over icons from panel 1, didn't simply get pushed to panel 2? I want to see if I can switch to the Fold 8 Ultra.

Now that I've had the phone for several days, my gut feeling has been affirmed. It's an awesome phone for my daily needs, which involve browsing, gaming, reading, and multi-tasking. I love the portable form factor of the phone and the fact that the cover screen is more than enough to do pretty much anything. When it's not, you can seamlessly transfer to the larger, inner display. I love using multiple apps side by side on the inner display, and I hope more apps optimize to fit the Fold 8's aspect ratio soon. I haven't been able to put my phone down for a while, and that means something coming from someone who has a tablet, PC, and e-reader on hand. I keep reaching for the Fold 8 instead!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to upgrade to the Z Fold8 from the Z Fold6 because I didn't use the main screen enough. Most of that was to do with the shape of the screen. A square wasn't really usable for many scenarios. Now with the 4:3 main screen, I find myself opening the phone a lot more than I ever did on the Fold6, whether it's to watch YouTube videos, scroll on a browser, or see larger images. The cover screen is also a really nice aspect ratio. It's great for 16:9 videos as well as looking at 2:3 photos I take on my mirrorless camera. The battery life has also been a big upgrade. I usually found myself in the 20-30% range by the end of the day on the Z Fold6, while on the Z Fold8, I've been mostly in the 40s by the end of the day. The thickness of the phone is something I'm still impressed by. It's comparable to lots of normal phones when folded, and when it's unfolded, it feels like it shouldn't be possible to have something this thin. If it weren't for the form factor of the Z Fold6, I would've held onto that for much longer. Now with the Z Fold8, I expect to hold onto this for many years and feel no need to get something different.

This is a great phone for me to use for running my business (restaurant) I can access multiple apps or files simultaneously if I can't get to my office PC. Closed, it fits in your palm like a passport, easy to carry all day. Opened, it turns into a full tablet, great for work and travel. It is lighter and slimmer than previous models, which makes a big difference when you are using it for hours. The camera is excellent and handles everything from quick shots to detailed work photos with ease. Overall this is a huge step up and the best Fold experience yet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the main reason I choose the z fold 8 is really the new form factor. the older folds were too skinny but samsung got it right this time with a wider design. the 5.5 inch cover screen feels like a normal phone, so texting one handed is way better. when you open it, the 7.6 inch screen is amazing for multitasking or playing games. it's crazy light at just 201 grams so it doesn't weigh my pocket down. plus the screen is super bright outside. the cameras aren't a huge upgrade but the new 50mp ultrawide takes solid pictures. the 4800mah battery easily lasts me all day. I just put a clear case on it to protect it without ruining that super thin 4.5mm profile. honestly I think I made the right call going with this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been extremely happy with the new Z Fold 8. I chose this model because I tried the Z. Fold y and didn' like the proportions. I also had the Z Flip 7 and although I really liked it the front cover couldn't do enough for me. I read a lot of books and wanted a screen big enough that I wouldn't need my Kindle or Kobo readers. This is perfect. I actually enjoy reading on the front screen and social media works very well also. I don't like big cases so a very thin Aramid case keeps the phone very sleek and sexy. Having never been a big camera guy, I think what's in the phone is fine although I have learned some new tricks from watching reviews on YouTube. Overall I think Samsung knocked this one out of the park.

The battery is fantastic, the device feels ultra premium, the screen is ultra high quality. Switching to Android from iOS has improved even more with all the Samsung tools included. The AI tools installed on the device make great use of what's possible with AI and makes the software experience a joy to use. If you're having second thoughts - dont! This device is worth every penny at every price point!

This phone is exactly what it needs to be, packs a punch, small, effective and versatile for everyday use. The battery life is fantastic and absolute monster. Gorgeous display both screens, since I got it it was enough for me to do work on the go, read papers as well. If you are healthcare provider who enjoys reading articles, books and doing notes this phone is absolutely perfect. This form factor size and ratio should definitely go for long run.

The new one is precisely the right size and I find in using it more, both folded and unfolded. It's fun, it's good-looking, it feels all future-y, too! I'm not usually an early adopter, but the new form factor made it easy. I chose this one for the fun and the form and got both in spades.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose the Galaxy Z-Fold 8 over the 8 Ultra, because I wanted the pocket size feeling of the Z-Flip, with the convenience of the fold-out full screen. I watch a lot of YouTube videos to learn, read kindle books and fly often, so it's very convenient to have a phone, kindle size screen and tablet in one. It's a dream to have it all in a pocket size! The new width of the closed front screen makes it very comfortable to read and type without needing to fold the phone open. I find myself using it closed a lot more than before, saving battery life. Thanks, Samsung, for creating such a perfectly sized fold phone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to upgrade my flip 6 to the new Fold 8 because I find myself using my mobile for more than content creation. A big part is office work on the go including Teams, Outlook and CRM activities. With its new form factor it's easy to run a meeting and then do my email follow ups. Using social media apps are a breeze and the expanded display is vivid and smooth visually. The camera works great and the pictures are are crisp looking even in lower light. I love how the front screen is super useful and can run apps, get notifications without having to open the full phone. So far it's a great phone.
