My birthday is tomorrow and after unboxing, I cannot think of a better birthday present. I chose to be part of the z series family starting with the fold 2. I have always been...ok....with it's tall form factor but secretly admired the shape of the pixel fold. When they announced the fold 8....I knew I had to choose this one. Folds are .ore than just an option, they are a multitask necessity. I have chosen to continue being a good user and I do not think I will go back. Great job samsung! Proud to be a galaxy fan since the s2 and Samsung user since the blackjack 2.

It's easy to use when folded and the apps look better when multitasking side-by-side than the older form factor. It is more balanced in my hand and makes it easier to use overall. I discovered that in comparison to my previous phone, when opened they are both roughly the same size, but they fold in an opposite direction. The only disappointment came with camera not having the same upgrades as the Ultra. I use my phone for work daily and log in to other computers at my offices. Being able to open up the screen to this wide view is very helpful.

I will say this was an immediate and very noticeable improvement and I actually prefer the wider format for my use case as a fun portable phone with a big screen experience, the lack of telephoto camera doesn't bother me too much since I prefer to carry my actual camera if I plan to get true higher end quality that only a true camera like a mirrorless could provide anyway. Time will tell so far if battery has made a noticeable improvement.

The moment you unfold that massive inner screen, there is no going back. Samsung absolutely nailed the engineering this year—it is ridiculously thin, exceptionally light, and feels like a precision piece of art in your hand. ​What strikes me most is how refined everything feels. The new titanium-reinforced hinge design makes the display feel incredibly smooth, and the crease is virtually nonexistent during actual daily use. The cover screen is wide enough to feel like a real, comfortable daily phone, but popping it open for reading, multi-tasking, or media consumption feels futuristic every single time. ​Beyond the hardware, performance is blistering fast, battery life easily lasts all day, and the displays are so bright and vibrant it’s unreal. Going back to a standard flat phone feels like going back in time. Easily a 10/10, best purchase I’ve made in years!

The phone feels more durable than previous generations, and the improved design makes it comfortable to use whether it's folded or opened. The large inner display is easily the standout feature. Multitasking is excellent, allowing me to run multiple apps side by side without feeling cramped. Reading, watching videos, browsing the web, and gaming all benefit from the extra screen space. The outer display is also much more practical for quick tasks, texting, and one-handed use. Performance has been outstanding. Apps open quickly, switching between them is seamless, and I haven't noticed any lag during everyday use. Battery life has comfortably lasted me through a full day with moderate to heavy use. The cameras produce sharp, vibrant photos in most lighting conditions. While they may not be the absolute best Samsung offers, they're more than capable for everyday photography. The only downsides are the premium price and the visible crease, though I stopped noticing it after a short time. Overall, the Galaxy Z Fold8 feels like Samsung's most polished foldable yet. If you want a device that can replace both a phone and a small tablet while delivering flagship performance, the Fold8 is an excellent investment.

                [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Galaxy Z Fold8 for a little while now, and it’s honestly the first foldable that feels polished enough to use as my main phone\. The hinge is smooth, it feels more durable than previous models, and it folds completely flat, which makes a bigger difference than I expected\. The outer screen is comfortable for quick tasks, and when I open it up, it almost feels like carrying a small tablet\. Multitasking is where this phone really shines—I can have multiple apps open at once without any noticeable lag\. The battery easily gets me through a full day with moderate to heavy use, and the performance has been excellent\. Everything from gaming to editing photos runs smoothly\. The cameras are also a nice improvement, especially in good lighting\. Of course, it’s still an expensive phone, and it’s a bit heavier than a regular flagship\. Some apps aren’t fully optimized for the larger display yet, but that’s becoming less of an issue over time. Overall, if you’ve been waiting for a foldable that feels mature and practical, the Galaxy Z Fold8 is definitely worth considering\. I haven’t found myself wanting to switch back to a regular phone since I started using it.

                [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used z fold 5 previously, and I was always hoping if the cover screen was wider. That was the biggest reason I changed back to normal bar type phone(s25 ultra). Later version z fold products had wider cover screen, but that wasn't enough. Now the new z fold 8 has the exact ratio and screen size that I was wanting! It's compact when I fold but wide enough to type or see things. When I unfold the phone, it's like a mini tablet pc. Very nice to watch videos or use multi window mode. Well, of course I see some things the phone could be improved more in the future. Some apps are not ready for this new aspect ratio, lack of the ultra telescope camera, or still no magnet on the back for magnet accessories. Hopefully those things would be improved in the future. But I am very happy with this z fold 8 overall. The design and color is very nice as well. I got cream color and it's very clean and fresh! Very nice feeling on my hands too. I almost don't want to use phone cases, but again, no magnet on the back to use accessories, so I will have to use a case....

For work, the big inner display is a game changer. I can have my email open alongside a document or run two apps side-by-side when I'm juggling calls and notes during meetings. It basically replaced my laptop for quick tasks when I'm out of the office. When it's time to unwind, the unfolded screen makes streaming shows and movies feel almost tablet-sized no more squinting at a tiny phone screen during my commute. Sports fans will appreciate it too; I've caught full games with stats overlays open in a split screen without ever feeling cramped. Gaming has also been a pleasant surprise. The extra screen real estate makes strategy games and anything with detailed UI so much more immersive, and the multitasking lets me keep a Discord chat open while I play. Battery life has held up well across all this heavy use, and the foldable design still feels sturdy and premium after months of daily folding and unfolding. Originally I liked the z flip 8, but the fold actually is the perfect size for content I watch and a mini on the go tablet. Im a dedicated Samsung user and really liked the opportunity play and ask ahout the product with experts at the experience compared to a normal retail store.. the hinge can barely be noticed and seems more durable than I thought it would be!

                The form factor is incredible—it feels super lightweight, surprisingly slim, and fits perfectly in one hand with great screen in./outside. (Stopped by the store to try out the new foldable in person before purchase decision) The cover screen and the main inner display both are incredibly functional for messaging and watching videos. I couldn't be more excited about this decision.

I was very surprised to see how practical it actually seems and would be very willing to upgrade once my current phone runs it path. The screen quality also was very surprising for a foldable.
